It aims to link with as many diverse people and ongoing initiatives that are trying to tackle the big issues of our time as possible, and provide a central hub space for all of them to connect and cross-fertilise. On that basis, it'd be great to get people from the Cafe Nexus networks engaged and involved - either hosting workshops etc, or just hanging out and talking with people! Interestingly too, I'd considered trying to find someone to address Health, Safety and Freedom - any chance someone'd be interested in re-hashing that from the October event at the Summat? Thank for your reply. I think this sites a good idea by the way. until we started building up to the first Leeds Salon event in April we hadn't realised there were so many debating orgs around in Leeds.

You should have already received an invitation to our next event at Borders next Thurs 4th when we have Kenan Malik discussing his new bokk From Fatwa to Jihad, please forward it to anyone you think may be interested. I've sent one to all the contacts I could find for each cafe.

We'd also be interested in what Cafe Sociologique has coming up, we're looking to establish fraternal links with other orgs (as we have done with Taking Soundings and Huddersfield and Manchester Salons) and maybe possible future joint events.
