Cafe Gastronomique?

Hi all,

I'd like to gauge interest in a possible new cafe - Le Cafe Gastronomique.

The idea is to meet, as with other cafes, on a regular date each month. 'Meetings' would take place in a restaurant in Leeds/Bradford/surrounding areas, and participants would face the arduous task of ordering, eating, and discussing a meal.

This wouldn't just be an excuse to eat out once a month, although that would certainly be a perk! There's scope for discussions in a more traditional 'cafe' format as well, with possible topics such as the ethics of food, which has previously been discussed at the Philosophy Cafe.

It sounds like an interesting idea, but possibly a bit too expensive for those of us on more modest incomes. I would be interested in coming to "café" type discussions, perhaps discussing an ingredient or a style of cooking, or something else to do with food.
